Just Some Stuff

I'm currently number 8 on Babble's favorite blogs. There are just a couple days left to vote. You don't have to sign up for anything. You don't have to enter any information. Just click on "like" HERE.

I did an interview with Empowered Mommies HERE.

And there's an excerpt of my book on Babble HERE.

Finally, Jackson doesn't want me to go into details, but he went back in the hospital as an inpatient yesterday. It's where he needs to be right now, but it's hard. It's hard on him. It's hard on his siblings who are worried about him. And it's hard on me. But I want to thank everyone for their prayers! I know they're working. I feel the peace. I'm afraid I'd be a big blubbering mess if it wasn't for faith. Thank you so much! It means the world to me!

It's 6:32 Central time and you are now #7! I just voted again!

Keep your beautiful head up! Things will be okay! I can't imagine being in your shoes, but with all of your gazillion friends, you will come out of this feeling pretty good.

Hang in there, Dawn! And get a friend to babysit - it lowers the stress a thousand percent.

Overjoyed that your relationship with your kids is so great they do not fear coming to you with the important things and asking for help. So many don't. It's a credit to you and your kids and we're all happy for you all.

You're family strong. Good to see that! Good to see!

Jackson, my family is praying for you as well.

God will hear us. He says that must believe that we have received such and it will be given to us. ;)

Continue faith in Him. =)

I voted for you!
Sorry to hear that Jackson went back to inpatient. :( I hope they are doing their best to help him. I know how it feels to be going through depression and sometimes I WISH I could be in the hospital surrounded by people who can try to help me... sometimes it is painful to be at home when you're in depression. I hope he feels better soon.

You're doing the best thing for Jackson right now! Sometimes the hardest thing you can do as a mom is realize that there are some things you just can't fix on your own.
Continuing to pray!
Psalm 73:23-26 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

I'm glad you are coping. I'm sorry to hear he had to go back, but I'm glad he's getting help. I voted for you, but more importantly, I prayed for you. :0)

Please tell Jackson that my family is praying for him as well. I agree with the person who suggested you get a friend to babysit and have some Dawn time. Even an hour.

Dearest Dawn, my heart aches for you all. I so wish there was something I could do.
When I grew up my fathers remedy to anything, sad, happy, hurting, you name it, was to have a tasty treat. Unfortunately that is now my way to help people. So I ask, can I send you guys anything? Some more chocolate perhaps?
Please let me know, ok? Sweden is a small country, but we make some kick-ass sweets!
All my love,
Julia in Sweden

I just want to say I think you're doing great with your kids. I had issues as a teen, and my mother told me to suck it up and that I had no reason to be the way I was (depressed among other things). I just got yelled at and berated, but you're getting your kids the help they need. I think that's awesome.

I voted for you! You are for sure the best. Praying for you and the kiddos. As hard as it is, you are doing the right thing.

Would you vote for me in FB's Famous Footwear contest? I've lost 172 pounds in the last year and they are having a New Me contest.

I would really, really appreciate it!

I think you are an amazing mother! If you weren't, your children (and especially the boys) wouldn't feel comfortable telling you what they are going through. They are getting the help that they need and that is so important. Prayers for everyone.

Oh and you are #3 and quickly closing in on #2. = )

I came across the verse this morning and I think it's fitting for a lot of people right now.

Psalm 107:6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
