Atlanta Day 1

I'm in Atlanta promoting my book, Because I Said So right now. Today I did a taped interview with John Young from The John Young Show on WNIV-AM. I really enjoyed talking to him. He's a cool, fun guy who knows what he's talking about. I hope I'll be able to give you a head's up when this airs.

Here's a little video about my first day in Atlanta...

Tomorrow I have a live interview on the show, Everyday with Marcus and Lisa (FamilyNet Television) from 11:00AM - 12:00PM

After that, I'll be doing an interview with a reporter from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Then I have a taped radio interview with Doug Doran from WMVV-FM.

Finally, I'll have a live interview on Atlanta Live - WATC-TV which runs from 7:00-9:00PM.

Dawn if you have some time while you are in the ATL, check out the World of Coca-Cola. Crazy place where you can try vile-tasting carbonated beverages from around the world. I haven't been to the new building, but the old one was pretty cool.

Varisity, I had not thought of that for years. I remember as a kid (43 years ago) visiting family in GA and eating there. Some day I'd like to get to Stone Mtn again. I have memory of that from even longer ago being on a train ride and there was a show with cowboys and Native Americans running downt the aisle and it SCARED me. I think I was about 7! Thanks for the memories, enjoy the rest of your trip and LOVE the shoes. I'm getting me some of those when I move back north and have to wear more than FLIP FLOPS!

I am really looking forward to seeing your interviews on TV!!! Don't be nervous. I know you'll do great! :) I had a blast with you yesterday! Next time you're back in Hotlanta, make sure you make arrangements to get here early enough (or stay longer) so we can do more sight-seeing downtown :). Have a safe trip home!

Enjoy Atlanta! I used to live there (now in the 'burbs of Chi-town). The people are really nice. The BIG issue that keeps me from moving back is the traffic. Traffic in ATL is HORRIBLE! Amazingly they have 8 lanes in both directions and still their highways become parking lots. I see you have a busy day today - hope its spaced out enough that you don't run into traffic issues. Enjoy! The 's' word is in the forecast here today. :-P

Based on your schedule it doesn't look like you're signing in Atlanta, would have loved to have met you!

You need to come to ALASKA!
We would love to have you here promoting your book!

I have a question. When you're gone, who watches your six pack? Also, is it weird that people want to interview you and fly you places to talk to you about being a stay at home mom?

You're a busy little author. Crazy shoes! There's something funny about the way you say ATlanta. Keep a hold of your purse, there's a reason those southerners are so friendly.

Too bad you didn't have a book signing while in Atlanta!
Since you haven't ever had slaw on hot dogs, have you ever had slaw on bbq sandwiches?

It was so cool to watch the video. I am so glad that you are having a great time promoting your book. I am taking it easy reading it because when I am done, I know it will go on a shelf. It's in my purse and when I have free time, I read a couple of paragraphs, smile and look forward to the next free pause in my life. *hugs* Can't wait til the next one comes out.

While you are there you need to try Chik-fil-a. (Get the number 1 combo with sweet tea - yum!!) Best fast food in the world! If only they had them in Chicago!

OMG. must.have.those.shoes! Who cares if they aren't conducive to hiking, you probably had the best lookin' feet on the mountain! Where'd you find them? And not that it matters, but are they comfortable?

It sounds like it was windy Chicago in Atlanta today! At least it was warm, right?

And are those your Danskin clogs that I lust after?

Enjoy the trip! It sounds like it's going well. Any book signings while you're out there or mostly just pub? Are you back in town on Monday for Lou's?
