Too Tired to Write

OK, there were too many good vodka entries, so I just used a random number generator to choose the winner of the Starbucks card. And the winner is....

Random Integer Generator
Here are your random numbers:27

The 27th comment came from BoufMom9. This lady has NINE kids. She could use some coffee to keep her going! Congratulations!

And please take a minute to check out my friend Michelle's awesome new website! For those of you who are new to my blog, Michelle is this incredibly talented, artistic woman with a huge heart and a soft spot for kids with cancer. She's selling her artwork to raise money for pediatric cancer.

My biopsy results came back fine, however they found a questionable spot on my mammogram so I get to back for some more pictures and an ultrasound. Think I'll get some more cool boob stickers?

Just a tip before you go back for "more pictures" on the mammo. Take a little tylenol or something before you go.
I "always" have a least one funny spot and have to return for more pictures and they use a concentrator to flatten the suspicious area. The technician said " a regular mammogram is like an army boot on your breast and the concentrator feels more like a high heel."

I hope all is well, sorry you have to go back for another fun mammogram:-(I will check out your friend's website now.

Dawn - good luck with the next mammo. I wish you well. This is not to say this would or could be happening to you - but my story is that I've had call back after call back for another picture, and then another picture, and now then a sonogram afterwards. It is a small small price to pay to be cancer free. After 3 unremarkable biopsies the last one was "uh oh", and now I'm now a one year and 18 day breast cancer survivor (but who's counting?) and I feel great. Check out my blog about my journey through breast cancer.'Patty's Mammie Grams' plecompte.blogspot.com
Again all the luck in the world to you. I love reading your writing.

I had to go back for a second mammo this last time. The letter that they sent about it scared me half to death - it said they saw an abnormality. It turned out that it was an area of density they couldn't see very well, so they spread the tissue some more, and everything looked fine. I'm hoping that's the same for you.

Ultra sound is a piece of cake. Was called back every year for more pictures and ultra sound. From now on just make appointment for both on same day. Its gotten that I tell the ultr sound tech whats on the screen.

Murphy's Law seems to apply to your health testing! I'll pray it turns out fine and you will be done with testing for a year!

Wow Dawn. Hope everything goes well. I pwersonally haven't had to experience a mammo yet, but my time is coming.
Gratz to Boufmom9, she should be able to enjoy the caffeine:))

Have a great day!

Dawn, good luck with your second round. I've heard that recently (like within the last 5-10 years, even) lactating breasts can often have 'suspicious spots'. Good for you for going in the first place, and if anyone can pull some funny out of this, it's you!

You just can't get a break right now can you? Good luck with the follow up pictures. Maybe you can get copies and frame them, they'd make lovely artwork next to some creations from the kidlets!

Dawn:
First, hopefully everything goes well for you with your mammogram (being a guy, I've never experienced it myself, but I know they're painful.

Second, I got a song for you to hear. :) Having 6 kids, you've probably heard of this song (or at the very least, this band) before, but if not:

You might get lucky and only get the ultrasound. :o) Here's hoping for you. I always have suspicious spots and generally just have the ultrasound.

Hi Dawn! I found a lump in my left breast a couple weeks ago and I'm going this afternoon to get an ultrasound to check it out. I assume they're starting with an ultrasound since I'm only 22, but I fully expected to have to get a mammogram. If I do have to have one, I'm glad I read about your experience because I'm not as scared as I was. Everyone has always told me how horrible they are, so it's nice to hear from someone else that they're not so bad. I'll be sure to let you know if I get any cool boobie stickers! lol

Glad the biopsy came back good. My first mammogram came back with "questionable spot". When back, took more pictures, and it turned out fine. I was told with having no previous mammogram to look back on, they wanted to make sure everything was fine. I pray your adventure turns out the same (along with a few added laughs for the rest of us).

First of all, congrats to BOUFMOM! Also, I happen to for some reason know that Starbucks has the BEST hugie M&M chocolate chip cookie I have ever had.

And second, about your boob shots. I concur with your other readers - hopefully it's nothing to worry about. They're in the process of getting your baseline photos. Also, my Dr. told me that in the last couple years, they have changed the standard somewhat. They call you back now for things they used to not call back for. I'd like to think this is a good thing.

Anyway, you're in my prayers.

Karla
(you know, your new best friend from Sunday Sound Out --- you gorgeous MODEL!!) =D

Best wishes for a perfect mammo this time around. I swear they should just schedule two appointments for everyone. Seems myself and many I know end up going back for a strange spot. I hope yours is nothing!!!

Congrats to Boufmom -- enjoy your Starbucks!!

Dawn - good luck to you on your follow up mammo. You're in my prayers.

Are you just trying to add to your collection of boob stickers so you can do another e-bay auction??? There's got to be a better way of doing that than the way you're going about it! ;)

Hope all goes well with the second Mammo and U/sound. Hey, perhaps you could ask if they have any of those twirly tassel things instead of more stickers!
