Hi Dawn,
I saw the invitation to the book signing and honestly, had to sit back in my chair and catch my breath a little. I'm one of those people who read your auction on eBay when it was live. I started reading your blog, and still come over here every day to see what's up.
You have come such a long way, it's breathtaking. Who would have ever thought, from those humble - but really funny - beginnings you'd become a famous writer of two popular books, and be having book signings and holding court in comedy clubs!
You and I are completely different from one another: you have kids, I have cats, as an example. I'm one of those people who has the tv on all the time; you seldom sit down, let alone watch for hours on end. Yet I admire you so much. You've grown strong and steady, you're a great mom, and a good healthy spirit. You are truly a good person, and I'm glad to 'know' you.
I just wanted to tell you that, one fellow stranger to another. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Congratulations on the book signing...invite is beautiful! Hope you and the kids have a wonderful Thanksgiving--I'm thankful for you! :)
Just secured my reservation for next Friday! Can't wait!!!

I don't post much, but do read a lot! Congratulations on your success! You deserve it for so many different reasons but the main reason I like to think you do so well is because you stay true to yourself. You started by telling all of us about your kids and your role as a mom of 6. You have not strayed from that like some others I've read in the past. You continue to give us what we fell in love with to begin with, your laughter, your kids, your funny insight to things most of us would sit down and cry over. Thank you for staying you even while you grow.....
