Friends on Netflix & a Streaming Giveaway

What better way to start off the new year, than to binge watch all 10 seasons of Friends on Netflix! Friends is my all-time favorite sitcom and I cannot adequately express how excited I am about this! (I know, I know, that's how sad my life is.) My older teens and I are loving every episode. It's great because now they "get it" when I say random things like:

How you doin'?
It's a moo point.
Big, fat goalie!
Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding  you?
It's a Goldfish cracker!
Unagi
We're fashioning a very long poking device.

So, in the spirit of all things Friends, here's a site with dozens of Friends quizzes. Have you seen every episode? Do you know everything there is to know about Friends? Can you quote the friends with the best of them? Test your knowledge here.

FRIENDS quizzes

And while you're watching all your favorite episodes (like Joey speaking French - Phoebe: Je m'appelle Claude. Joey: Je te flouppe Fli) enjoy a nice cuppa joe from Central Perk!

 CENTRAL PERK PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE

 4 cups milk
 4 T. sugar
 4 T. pumpkin puree
 4 t. pumpkin pie spice
 2 t. vanilla
 1 c. espresso

1.  Whisk milk, sugar, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla in a saucepan over low heat. Simmer for 5 minutes.
2.  Add espresso and whisk until foamy. Pour into 4 mugs.

FUN BOBBY'S IRISH COFFEE

6 ozs. Irish cream liqueur

6 ozs. Irish whiskey
4 c. brewed coffee
4 T. whipped cream
dash nutmeg

Combine Irish cream and Irish whiskey and divide among 4 coffee mugs. Fill mugs with coffee. Top with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.

AND . . . to start the new year off right, I'm giving away a gift card good for one-year of Netflix streaming! Just tell me your favorite Friends moment, quote, character, or episode in the comments for a chance to win. (Make sure you leave contact information!) I'll randomly choose a winner on Friday, January 23rd. Good luck!

I am not sure I could pick one favorite. the whole Ross and Rachel saga maybe! "SHE WAS BALD" lol....we own the entire series and I still watch it on tv as well. Even my kids quote it! LOVE THAT SHOW! We love our netflix account too, so this would be well used in our house! Thank you!

Hands down most favorite scene.

Love the episode when Rachael delivered her baby. It reminded me so much of my first born's delivery.

My favorite episode is "The One With Ross' Sandwich" It cracks me up only because of how upset get got. Because really, when someone else eats my food from the fridge, I always think of the quote, "My sandwich? YOU ATE...MY... SANDWICH???!!!"

My Favorite is where Phoebe gets stuck in her sweater! She puts her head in the arm and says, "Monica, I'm scared"!
Oh, and my favorite episode is "the one with the embryos" Where they play the game and the girls lose the apartment!!

I can't pick just one favorite either, but I crack up every time I think of Ross saying, "I, too, am a NEAT GUY." Bruce Willis was hilarious in that story arc!

So many to choose from! All of them! But the absolute favorite (I think) had to be when Ross and Rachel first kissed. A close second would be the Monica and Chandler proposal. Either of those episodes still gets me teary eyed and have probably seen them thousands of times. My 18 and 12 year old love friends as well and like you are finally understanding some of my sayings.

I laughed the hardest at Phoebe's chicken pox episode.

They don't know that we know they know! And Joey you can't tell them. Couldn't if I wanted to.

My favorite Friends moment is when right after Courtney Cox married David Arquette, they put Arquette after everyone's name in the credits. Jennifer Aniston Arquette, Lisa Kudrow Arquette etc. So cute, it made me think that they were all really good friends in real life!

Well, I certainly need to win this because I HAVE NEVER WATCHED FRIENDS. I am a little older than most of you but I do enjoy good shows. Don't know how I missed Friends. So, maybe I will win so I can catch up and catch on.

One of my sisters LOVES Friends--almost as much as she loves Seinfeld, I think. Anyway, she was telling me a horrible story about her FIL and his refusal to wear underwear.

Immediately I thought of Friends and the episode where Phoebe's boyfriend is wearing shorts sans undies.

She and I had to hang up the phone because were were hysterical and couldn't finish a word.

And I love Chandler.

My all time favorite quote would have to be, "Marcel, did you poo in the shoe?!" We said this a million times while housebreaking our puppy and the kids just looked at like we had six heads! I died laughing, every time! It would be great to introduce them to this show!

When Phoebe married Mike. She is getting married outside during winter. She takes off her coat to show off her dress. Chandler tells her she looks beautiful and asks her if she will be cold and she smiles and says "I don't care. I'll be my something blue." It was a great mix of sweet and funny, which is what Friends has always been for me.

My favorite episode has to be the one I went to the taping of...the cheesecake episode!!! I don't exactly remember the details, it was towards the last few seasons. It was by far the best way to spend 8 hours, no joke! They did so many takes with the damn cheesecake that they would send the one from the previous take to the audience and we would pass it around and eat off it!! We were there so long they even bought pizza for the audience and tossed out candy like you're at a parade!! One of my best memories and funnest moments ever!
