  3. Hopefully your wait won't be nearly as long as ours was when the one here opened earlier this summer. W e waited over 45 minutes & that was once we were able to get to the parking lot! It was definitely worth it though!

    Enjoy your dinner!

  4. Haha!!!

They're putting one in by my house in Bartlett too! We can't wait until it opens!

Enjoy!! No more being teased by the commercials with no way to satisfy your craving anymore!

  5. You have to try the coke with cranberry! Or a fruit slushee thingies!

    I like fruity drinks.

  6. Totally and completely jealous. I would give anything for a cherry limeade right now, and the nearest sonic is about 4 hours away from us.

  8. Sonic ice - heavenly!

My teens know that I generally don't mind being carless if they bring home a large cup of Sonici ce for me to pour Snapple over.

  10. Oh now that is COOL news! OMG, I love their cherry limeade. There's a Sonic close to my daughter's in St. Louis that we stop at when we visit her but we've never had one near us. This one looks like it's only going to be about 13 miles away WOOHOO!

  11. Now that IS exciting. I live in Canada and we don't have ANY but every time we go to my parents in Florida I make my family go because I love trying all sorts of different drinks. When I was pregnant I made him bring me back 4 different kinds.

  12. I love Sonic, but, alas, there are none up here where I live.

I also wanted to tell you that I thought your cake was awesome! I was thinking, Have you seen those baby mum mum crackers. My 10 month old loves them, although I can't say why- they taste like nothing. Anyway, they are a perfect shape for a surf board. If you ever need edible water gear again maybe you could give them a try.

  13. I love Sonic! I don't get to eat there often, but fortunately, I go to school in Indiana, so they have plenty of them there. I was really disappointed with their cheesecake bites.

Maybe I'll see you at the Aurora one!

  14. Ok, it's strange to me because we have a Sonic on every corner down here in Baton Rouge!!! We go there so much, my 3 year old asks if we can get a slushie drink every day when we pass it! I guess if you don't or never had one, it's big news! Congrats!! I'm sure there are things you have that we don't!

  15. Oh my stars and garters are you serious! Makes me wish I still lived there! They claim several are opening in the Milwaukee area closer to where I am, but hearing this is encouraging news that they might actually get them going!

Thankfully I'm in Memphis right now where there's one on every street. :) Got to get my fix before I go home!

  16. Awesome! I love their Limeades and that they have "happy hour" from 2 - 4 or something, where drinks are half price. Unfortunately, the closest one to us is a bit too far. The cost of gas would double the amount we'd save in half-price drinks. . . oh well.

  17. Half price slushies from 2-4.
    They are the BEST!!!
It's a great way to treat the kids after running errands.
    They always bring smiles!!!

  18. Right by ME! whooo! I'm excited bc in AZ they have them everywhere and the drinks are SO GOOD. When I moved back here I missed the sonic the most. And who doesn't like tatertots? lol

  19. Think you can get them to open even ONE in CT? I ate there once in CA about 10 years ago and I'm DYING over all the comments about how great the food is. We get the commercials here, just not the food. :(

  20. Sonic...how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
I love thee to the depths of the 2-5 "half-y hour" where I can get a diet cherry-vanilla ginormous Dr. Pepper for $.79

I love thee to the lengths of thine fabulous-o extra long chili-cheese coney-no onions, thanks

I love the to the breadth of the enormous hand-breaded onion rings.

I could wax on and on.....

Now, if only we could get an In-N-Out here....

  21. Jealousy reigns right now! DH & I lived in TX for 5 years where I developed a serious addiction to limeades!

Since moving back to IN, the nearest one is 1 1/2 hours away.

Do you think you could put in a good word for east central Indiana the next time you're there?

  22. In Texas I think they out number the McDonald's. There is one in every podunk(spelling??)town.

Mmmmm.... Sonic size cheese tots with onions goes great with a Route 44 Dr. Pepper. That makes a valid meal, right?

  23. Awesome! Does yours have happy hour from 2 to 4 pm? Half-price drinks and slushes, baby!

  24. You crack me up everytime I read your blog! Thanks for the giggles!

  25. Oh gosh I am so jealous. I went to the outlet mall a few weeks ago and drove past the Sonic and was all excited. Too bad it was closed. LOL People 2 miles away probably heard my dismay. I hope you enjoyed your dinner!

  26. Two for Tuesday. Yeah. Margie

  27. Congratulations and enjoy! Since I work just a few blocks from Sonic headquarters and can purchase a cherry coke and cheddar bites from a variety of locations, I should really take a little more time to count my blessings when so many others are not as lucky as I.

  28. That's one down - if they will only open a Chik-fil-A in the Chicago area - prefably in the western suburbs, I'll be in heaven! But, I'll take anything within the Chicago area - closest one is over 90 minutes away.

  29. No fiar! In a city like Los Angeles the one thing I can't get is a Sonic burger...or all those delicious looking milkshakes...I have an idea...you can take a vacation and come stay at my child-free house in LA...I'll baby-sit your brood if you leave me enough money to hav Sonic's everyday! lol
