"That was our hotel."
"No, it wasn't. This picture was taken the day we drove to that one place."
"No, that's our hotel."
"That isn't our hotel, Herb. Well, I don't remember what we're standing in front of, but here's the next picture..."
I'll risk being the annoying relative here to show you my slideshow of San Francisco. I made it with Smilebox. The service is free, but you can upgrade to a premium membership for extra goodies if you like. This is my fun new toy! I want to make albums with each and every picture on my computer! Give it a try for kicks. It's super easy to customize with page layouts, colors, text, and music. Fun, fun, fun!

Those are great pictures Dawn. And you've given me some ideas of what to do with my sister when she comes out to visit. I'd forgotten about Giradelli Square and the Cable Cars. Guess you can tell how often we get to the city, hunh?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Smilebox is neat. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteGreat slides, Dawn!
ReplyDeleteYou still haven't told us WHO the celebrity is?????
Donna in PA :)
OMGOSH SEA LIONS!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have to waste my day playing with Smilebox. Thanks Dawn.
Dawn, nice pics but it took me a long time to realize that the slides weren't going to move on their own... duh!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to hear you speak at BlogHer. I hope you enjoyed you time.
Now I am totally homesick. Did you go on the Balcutha? I'm pretty sure that was the clipper you showed in your slide show. We used to do Dickens' Fair on the wharf just down the pier from the Maritime Museum. I know a bunch of people who go to the sea shanty sings on her.
ReplyDeleteClam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, I am having withdrawal pains. Of course, after I realized that everyone is wearing a jacket in July, I don't feel so homesick.
regards,
Theresa
Dawn,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I haven't been around much leaving comments. A good friend of mine just found out one of her twins has stage 4 cancer.
I am at a loss.
I know you have links to some other moms who have dealt with cancer, could you give me some of the links?

How cool is that?!? I think SmileBox is my new favorite thing, too. I hope you enjoyed your visit to our fair state! San Francisco is one of my favorite cities to visit. And what's up with wearing a Cubbie's jersey in SF?!? Hmmm?? I guess I should just be glad you didn't wear a Sox jersey! My hubby is a huge Cubby fan, so I root for them when I'm not rooting for the Giants.
ReplyDeleteAnd on Pier 39, did you try Trish's Donuts? She has this little booth where she fries up these mini donuts and dunks them in cinnamon sugar -- they are to DIE for! I love to buy a bag of those, and then go sit and watch the Sea Lions while enjoying the donuts. YUM!!
Very cool Smilebox!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and good pics, too. :)
Oh that it WAY cool! And it isn't a slide show... it's a scrapbook. I'm too lazy to look (but at least I'll admit it?), but do they print it out for you like that and make it into a true scrapbook for you?
ReplyDeleteWell that just kicks Slide.com's booty, huh? It's an online scrapbook. Love it. And now I have to find some time to waste on it.
ReplyDeleteYep, peeps are wearing jackets, it must be summer in the City, LOL. ooooh, a sourdough chowder bowl, mmmmm~! No Lombard street huh?
ReplyDeleteCool slideshow! I love that it looks like a scrapbook! I'm really glad you had a good time. Now it's back to what's left of summer vacation with the kiddos. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI hope your camera gets fixed/replaced soon.
Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for sharing the Smilebox! I am going to check it out when I can figure which pictures would be appropriate to post on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI love your new hairdo too! I would have mine cute like that if only I had a nice thick head of hair.
Dawn,
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of San Francisco. I MOST loved the Cubs jersey you were wearing! Girl, I would give my right arm for one like that! I am going to a Cubs game in Atlanta in 3 weeks and am stuck with an old T-shirt!
Hope you get your camera fixed/replaced soon, because I do love all the photos on your blog.
I finally figured out leaving a comment. YAY!!!!
Glad you enjoyed San Fran. I luv smilebox, too. Glad you found it, and shared. It is sooo fun!

Did I see a tattoo on your ankle in one of those pics in S.F.? Is it true that our Dawn is a closet wild-child??
