I'm so Proud of Them :::sniff sniff:::

My little fashion plate

Yes, she's wearing two different shoes - both for the right foot.

After watching that pretentious doof Alton Brown on Good Eats, Austin decided to make homemade marshmallows last night. This basically meant that I had to clean up a huge sticky mess this morning. It also meant that Clay got to have fun warming marshmallows in his hands and then smearing them all over his face. Why? Because he's Clay.

Here's the little movie star. "Whatchou talkin' about?"

After seeing the commercials for Kung Fu Panda 58 times, Clay's been walking around saying, "I like Kung Food! That's right - not Kung Fu. Kung Food.

  1. My son has those same Cars jammies! Did you get yours at Toys R US, too?

  2. Awww, so cute all of them!

Good to know that Little Miss isn't the only one who insists on putting shoes on the wrong feet. In the second picture, it almost looks like Brooklyn's legs come from two different people -- sorta cool!

And how did the marshmallows taste? I watch Alton Brown, and I've seen his marshmallow tutorial, and I cook a LOT and I'm still not willing to try out his theory that marshmallows don't have to come from a bag!

  4. Hey Dawn,

Brooklyn is setting her own fashion standards. Speaking of Brooklyn... I've got a youtube video for you to watch. It goes with Brooklyn's fit from Tuesday. I've decided that I am going to give this idea a try...

  5. So is Brooklyn's outfit from Paris? She looks very sofisticated. If your son starts making anything with chocolate call me. And I hated Kung Foo Panda but I might like Kung Food.

  6. I love the attitude in the eyes of Brooklyn. The picture, with the different shoes, shows a don't tell me what shoes to wear.... in her eyes. Luckly kids are cute or we'd lose it over those snarky attitudes!
Thanks for sharing the pictures, that was fun.

  8. Hello!

This is ashley from thecutestblogontheblock.com, I just happened upon your blog and I noticed you don't have one of my cute backgrounds on it, so you may want to check out my website and try one on for size!

    Just a thought,

  9. My 3yo calls it "Poo Poo Panda". I can't tell if its a real goof-up or if he just wants another opportunity to talk about Poo.

I treated my boys to happy meals last night - if you go to happymeal.com they have a pretty cool (read: FREE) game where you can put your kids' face onto a character and watch it dance to "Everybody was kung-fu fighting". Hey, it made ME laugh!

  12. Hmmm....homemade marshmallows? I'll stick to the bag for a buck at the commissary, less mess for sure!

I don't like kung food, or chinese food or Thai food, but especially not kung food. Clay can have mine.

  13. Sadly, I have noticed more than once, I have left the house with two different pair of sandals.

Most times I would return home, 'play where the heck is the mate' game.

Other times I convince myself it's just a 'Bold fashion Statement.'

  15. Everyday I send my 21 month old daughter to her wardrobe (closet - I'm from Australia) for her shoes & everyday I'm amazed that she comes back with matching ones. Not once has she come back with 2 different shoes. I obviously don't give her enough credit!

  16. You youngest, well into her fourth year, would actually look down at her shoes (when they were on the CORRECT feet) and say, "Oh, my shoes are on the wrong feet!"

    She preferred them on backwards.

    Made me nuts.

Was such a proud parent to watch our three-year-old neighbor constantly correct her.

Where's the bumper sticker that says, "My kid refuses to wear her shoes on the right feet."??

  17. So THAT's where the Queen's other pair of shoes are! She started that trend the day I bought her 2 pairs of shoes and she couldn't decide which pair to wear first. I think she was 2 1/2. She's done in pretty often in the two years since then.
