Wow, it's been a long week! The play is done hooray! It went well, but I'm glad it's over because it's one more thing I can cross off my list.
"I don't understand. Am I the only dumb bunny here?"
I'm in Chicago with Michelle and Mimi! We went out to dinner at Italian Village and Manic joined us for a FUN time. I will never keep a straight face when I hear the word "Twitter" again.
Now we're sitting here in our hotel room and every time a firetruck goes by or a car makes some noise, Mimi and Michelle freak out. Michelle says that cows don't make noises like that. I'm cracking up here!
No Sunday sound out (mostly because I just realized it was Sunday about 5 minutes ago and I have to get to bed. Don't want bags under my eyes for Oprah tomorrow, right? Instead I'll show you the cover of my book this week!
OMG saw the pic and thought.....That's George Clooney!!Then....nahhhhhh.........this guy is older. That's REALLY George Clooney's Dad? Or a lookalike? Never mind he looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic time at Oprah. Did some-one pull strings for tickets? I've heard you have to wait a gazillion years to be in the audience. Wonder what the show will be on? HAVE FUN !! xxxx
Happy Sunday!!! Hopefully you ladies are getting your beauty sleeps already, not that any of you need it!! I'm smiling at all the pictures of you girls' smiles!
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like you gals were having fun! All the photos of Chicago are making me long to be there. Good thing I'm going there in July for a meeting; I can eat at my favorite restaurants and maybe I'll meet George Clooney's dad too.

ReplyDeleteGlad the show went well. You are a busy bee. I wish I was a fly on the wall in Chicago. It looks like a bunch of giggling school girls, but with rum. I'll be watching today.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you guys are having so much fun! How is Mimi doing? Did she talk about Julian? Is that the right Mimi you are talking about?
ReplyDeleteYuu guys looked like your friendship will just blossom from here and that is the best thing in the whole wide world.
Take care and I'll watch the audience for a glimpse of you.

Dawn: Thanks for sharing!! I personally am anxious to see your "cover art".
ReplyDeleteJust counting down the days until your BOOK is ready. Do you think we have to camp out at Barnes & Noble like they did for the Harry Potter books?
OMG... what is wrong with u?? You are NOT fat!!! The pic of you entering your room is the only one that I have seen that is full length of you and you are definately not fat. And I have to say you are a really beautiful smile..one that reaches your eyes :)

Hork on the gum, that is so nasty!!
ReplyDeleteTwitter makes me giggle too,I wonder if for the same reason! A co-worker told me Bon Jovi was a tooter twitter. Then explained.
ReplyDeleteI have a life... I just happened to plan it around the LIVE OPRAH appearance of 3 famous blogger moms today!!!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous time was had. I heard about you from Manic- and then I saw the name of your blog and had to stop by- because my mom STILL uses your title to this day when she tells me something I don't want to hear and I say "why?" LOL
ReplyDeleteso hellO!

ReplyDeleteKendra
That is NOT George Clooney's dad. I hope you know that. I live in Cincinnati, where George's dad Nick was an anchor man on our local news for years. He also had his own talk show here in the 70's.
ReplyDeleteYou're such a tourist -- and you live just west of Chicago!
ReplyDeleteI'd say you need to get out more, but you appear pretty busy. Guess I'm immune to Chicago's charms, I've worked in the loop since 1979.
You do know that the only thing on Italian village's menu that meets any kind of WW points reasonably is the salad - sans dressing! Hope you enjoyed it (even if you did have to use all 35 weekly points!)
Thank you for giving me an excuse to remove the Twitter Update widget from my blog...and pimp yours at the same time. In case there's anyone out there who hasn't already found you.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you make a smashing blonde.
This comment is really for the Oprah post above but I can't get into the comments for some reason. I was going to say that when I saw the title that I thought Oprah interviewed YOU. I was going to program her show to record here tonight. Darn it. Your time is coming, I just know it!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I *love* The Village. I used to have a subscription to theater downtown (ahhh, the days of being single) and would go there before every performance. I even had a regular order that the waiter knew. I really miss those days sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to get one of the alcoves. Those were always my favorite places to sit! But I did *not* know about the gum. Maybe that's best.
Glad y'all had lots 'o fun. So very jealous... and way behind on my blog reading!
Michelle
