As part of the fifth consecutive year of the company’s signature “AdDress Your Heart” campaign, Campbell reinforced its commitment to heart health by teaming up with Monica Potter, star of NBC’s Parenthood, and NFL Mom Deborah Johnson, mother of defensive end Jay Richardson, both of whom walked the red carpet in Campbell red dresses and talked about their motivation to raise awareness for heart disease, the number one killer of women.
Visit CampbellsAdDressYourHeart.com to watch Monica Potter's and Deborah Johnson's videos. For every view through March 31, 2011, Campbell will donate $1 to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, up to $625,000. This is part of the overall $3.6 million donation Campbell has committed to the organization by 2012.
Campbell offers more than 100 convenient, great-tasting products that fit into a heart-healthy lifestyle. This includes all 25 Campbell’s® Healthy Request® soups, Low Sodium V8® 100% vegetable juice and Prego® Heart Smart Italian sauces. All of these products have been screened and verified to meet the American Heart Association's certification criteria to display its heart-check mark. I'm all for this. Heart disease is close to being the #1 killer of women and that's a shame in that it can be controlled.

ReplyDeleteI love these prizes you do. Thank you for sending us to a great website. I love that show Parenthood so seeing Monica Potter was nice. I watched both the videos and have shared them on my social sites. What an easy way to spread awareness and get $1 donated for the cause!
ReplyDeleteCampbell's is a staple in our house. I simply cannot imagine life without Campbell's. Nothing tastes as good as tomato rice soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Can you imagine casseroles without the cream-of soups? I love Campbells!

ReplyDeleteThis is great... I will post it on my Facebook tomorrow when I go to watch it again!
ReplyDeleteMy son who is 35 yrs old had a heart attack less than 6 months ago. And my husband had a heart attack at the age of 51, so I try to make healthier food now.
ReplyDeleteAnd when I get a pain I panick thinking I am next.
His family and my family never died from heart problems. Doctors said it is stress related and I do believe that too as it is affecting more younger people now.
Hear it all over the news about the survivors...
This is great that Campbell is helping .....

I am grateful to Campbells and other corporations who do things to help people eat healthier. My dad had a mild heart attack in January and my mom just had her second angioplasty in 3 weeks yesterday. We are all about the healthier heart eating in this family since genetics are already working against my middle aged self!
ReplyDeleteMy father has heart disease...and it makes me fully aware of the things we need to do to stay heart healthy!!

And thank you for posting this.
Christmas Eve 2010 my husband had quintuple by pass surgery. My husband that the ONLY thing wrong with him (in regards to heart issues) was his genetics, so we learned. In the 9 1/2 weeks since surgery there have been major adjustments to the food consumed. It is so nice finding foods that are "Heart healthy" and do not contain mega amounts of saturated or trans fats and unreal quantities of sodium!
