My Baby

It's a ballerina!

It's a cowgirl!

Nope, it's just Brooklyn.

I love how these pictures turned out. Of course, I had to let her pick out her clothes for the pictures so I'd have an accurate memory of her four-year-old self. And the pink boots - well, they were a given.

You bought 3 different sizes of those boots, didn't you? Hope she outgrows the infatuation before she outgrows the size!

  25. they are adorable. today it was cold. a tad warm but got colder and colder. my son (2.5) insisted on wearing a white tshirt with mickey on it, a pair of shorts with alvin and the chipmunks (yeah some kids won't let their kids be walking ads...not me) and sandals. he refused a jacket. and wouldn't believe me that he was going to be cold.

  26. So have you done this for all your kids with all their birthdays if so until what age? Sso question?

  32. awwww! she looks adorable! my oldest son wore a pair of red cowboy boots that I got at a garage sale everyday for a year when he was 3. in Florida. boy were those some stinky boots by the time he outgrew them. but it was the best $2 I ever spent for the amount of joy he got out of them!

  38. ADORABLE! I love capturing our little ones in photos...I have finally come to realize (with number 4 that it isn't about perfection with the picture but capturing their personality like you said). My two year old just had his pics. taken with his cowboy boots and a sucker with a pocket full of M & Ms. That is him to a T!

  39. Brooklyn looks adorable! She's given me an idea on how to dress my 15 month old for her upcoming shoot. I can't let her dress herself yet, someday though!

  41. There's cute, there's really cute, and then there's this. I don't even have a word for how utterly adorable Brooklyn is!!!!!!!

I wish I had done this when my guys were littler. We went through a whole summer where my now 10 year old would wear nothing but a T-shirt, a diaper, and rubber rain boots from Target. Yep. Those boots smelled lovely by the time August rolled around. I wish I had a picture of that!!!

    This is priceless!!!!!

  43. Your Brooklyn and my Emma Claire must be kindred spirits. They are SOOO on the same wavelength with those pink boots!

  44. Just darling! Makes me smile when I remember back to when my daughter was that age and dressed herself in a similar fashion. I can remember my mother having a fit but I always held firm that it was my daughter's right to express herself. She dresses "normal" now but I miss the "special" outfits!
