Bert?

Fun use #64 for mascara .
Stay tuned next week when I cover fun use #65 - using mascara to decorate the television.
I thought he was paying an awful lot of attention to Bert when we were in Florida. It all makes sense now.

  2. Shall I be the first?? J/K DON'T ANSWER THAT !!

Now all we need is some eyeshadow to complete the mascara look ..or is that reserved for Brooklyn's next face?

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of the Meehans, thanks for the laughs and may 2008 be the best year yet? What is your deadline for the first book, in time for next Christmas?

  7. Too funny! My 3 1/2 year old emptied the contents of my bathroom cabinet and makeup bag and applied a little foundation and hair gel. Just as I was celebrating what looked like a put it all back and clean him off with a diaper wipe kinda mess, I found a tin which he'd managed to pry the lid off, it was empty, it had contained herbal female stimulant pills(my husband thinks I'm not stimulated enough spending my life with 7 little men and him). I looked high and low, no pills, I'm reasonably sure he didn't eat them as his daily diet consists of a gallon-and-a-half of milk and a couple force fed bites off my plate every meal. Imagine that call to my long suffering doctor...My three year old has an erection lasting longer then four hours. Ah the joys of parenting 3 year olds.

  8. Simple Green is a bio-degradable cleaning product that works on almost everything will take the Marker off your table top. It is also a great laundry stain remover, carpet cleaner. You probably know about it already. Big chain stores and automotive parts stores have it.

  19. Oh My Gosh that is too funny. I remember when my oldest painted the bathroom with my eyeshadow and blush when he was three. He made pictures, a map and monsters. He would have kept going had he not run out of make up.

  21. Hi Dawn, so this comment is totally unrelated to your post but I have to let you know that you are obviously making some kind of an impact on me. The other night I had a dream that my husband and I bought your house. For some reason, you all couldn't move out in time, something to do with your 6 kids I think, and so we decided that you could stay with us until you could figure things out. Any dream interpeters out there?--this one was pretty silly. Anyway, keep up the great work. I love checking in everyday.

  22. Very funny!
My daughter got into my make-up and colored the toilet with it!
I had to throw them all away.

  23. EXCUSE ME!!!!! Is today not SUNDAY????? Where is the customary question and answer blog? Stop messing with my head like this, these holidays have me all confused as to what day it is. Surely there must be some reader's questions you can answer.

  24. Tee hee! I love it. And I can't wait to hear (someday) what uses #s 1 to 63 are. Is to make your eyelashes look darker and more full -- and potentially more curly, depending on the type used -- one of the uses?

I must confess that when I was younger (and knowing where I lived when doing this, it had to be continuing well after I was 8 years old), I used to LOVE to use mascara to make myself look like Raggedy Ann. I must have thought she was beautiful or fashionable or ... something. I do distinctly remember that, and I'll have to ask my mom her opinion of my hobby. Have your kids discovered this use yet, or is this #65?

    Happy New Year, Dawn!
    Michelle

DJ does Uncle Matt Arms, with tattoos out of marker, chalk, pen, what ever is handy, all because Uncle Matt has them.

  28. OMG - You're getting yelled at for breaking format! Look, we don't even know what day it is without you, Dawn!
Patience, patience, because there it is.

  29. ROFL! Thank you again Dawn! Clay looks adorable! I think you have the inside scoop for his Halloween costume next year. I caught my little girl drawing with markers all over her ankles and legs so she could have "pretty pictures on her" just like my friend "Miss Keli". I just had to laugh. Ever since then my friend Keli tries to make a point of wearing jeans to my house, but I told her, she is going to see tattoos on someone and think that they are pretty, might as well be someone that we love! As long as she doesn't try to copy anyone's tongue rings......lol.

Thanks again for another laugh Dawn, you help me keep my sanity in the insane world of motherhood!

  34. Oh my... lol! My son did this once before, except he used purple nail polish. I also have a picture for future blackmail purposes.

  35. hahahaha. i'm trying to laugh silently, so my husband doesn't make fun of me. every now and then, he hears me laughing and asks what i'm reading to make me snort so much, and he sees that it's your blog. sadly, he calls it the "blood baby" blog, because he didn't realize that that's chocolate all over brooklyn...
anyway! the stuff i read about clay reminds me of stuff my 4 year old does. he prefers tic tac toe when writing on himself, though.
