Why Can't I Swim in the Toilet?

After a long, hard day of manual labor, i.e. playing with blocks, throwing your sippy cup on the floor, taking all the books off the shelf, and emptying out the toy box, it's nice to relax in a lovely whirlpool bath.

"Come on in, Mom! The water's just right!"
And just think, if the urge to go happens to hit while you're splashing away, well you're in luck!

I hope this doesn't give you heart palpitations, Denise. Rest assured, I threw her in the "other" bathtub and scrubbed her down with Lysol and sandpaper after snapping those pictures.

Here's a joke from the kids...

What's the difference between roast beef and pea soup?

Anyone can roast beef!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

  1. No heart palpitations, Dawn.
Don't forget - my daughter used to dance in the toilet.

    Have a great 4th! :)

  2. I found your blog like all the other folks (through word-of-mouth on the interwebs). I love it! I had to comment on this post because I have a wee one who is fascinated by the toilet. We have a new phrase in our family because of one of his adventures. He had eaten almost all of his breakfast one morning (the standard Eggo waffle that he eats EVERY morning), and climbed down from the table. In his little fist he was still clutching a swath of waffle. He starts toddling around the house, while the rest of the family is getting ready for work and school. A few minutes later, I come upon him in the bathroom. He has just dunked the waffle in the toilet AND CRAMMED IT IN HIS MOUTH! I catch him just as the waffle is going in. AAAACCCKKKK!!!

So, now we comfort our friends when they tell us their kid gross-out stories with, "Well, at least it wasn't a toilet waffle."

  3. There seems to be a strange attraction between small children and the toilet... hmm, my cousin once asked for a drink of water while our mothers were talking, she had him wait until the conversation was over before getting him a drink, he wasn't a very patient child... yep you guessed it, went into the bathroom and dunked in his cup... Came back into the living room drinking water, it was after the cup was gone before his mother decided to ask where he got the water from :P

  4. This is funny! Just today I went to check on my potty-training 3yo daughter and she was putting an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet. There she was, standing there with her pants/panties to her ankles just smiling at me withe the toilet filled to the top with paper! I just know she peed in it before filling it up - that was fun to think about while I was fishing it all out! YUCK! Wish I had thought to take a picture. I'm sure I'll have another opportunity tomorrow though. LOL!
