I went misdiagnosed for years and gained a lot of weight in a short time before I was finally diagnosed. Same thing, even when I was calling to make the appt, when I said it's my 6 week postpartum check a little late, there was a little pause moment. Then it was quickly categorized as an annual exam since a 6 week p.p. check 6 mos late was just plain delinquent!
